Trip.

It was a short trip to Malaysia but trust me, it was one of those trips where I really enjoyed myself. Okay, my family is very religious and our tours are usually like pilgrimages. But no, I have no complaints about it. I love such trips.

Anyway, this time I went all the way to the other side of Malaysia, more towards to Pahang and visited a very famous and powerful temple known as Maran temple. Then we visited Rawang Temple and travelled all the way to KL to visit Court Pillayar (Elephant God) and our well known Batu Caves.

I must mention about Maran temple. This temple has a very strong history. According to what I heard, our murugan (the youngest son of Lord Shiva) appeared in a man's dream and told him that he was in a particular jungle and asked him to go find him. However, this man could not find the specific location. Murugan appeared in another guy's dream, who lives in the same vicinity as the previous guy. So they went out finding for the particular tree and they found it at Maran. Soon, people started worshipping the tree as there were carvings (natural ones) on the bark of the tree and these were the carvings of Murugan and his wife, Theivayani. Then, it was told that the tree had to be cut down for a road to built and tree cutters(if this is what they are called) were sent to cut the tree. When they tried cutting the tree, a red liquid came out of the tree. As a result, the plans were stopped as they knew Murugan was there. Yes, this is one of my favourite temples. I just love everything about it and I am sure my cousins and family would agree with me on this.

It is during such instances where you know God is there.
