Okay, I dont think I will have the time to post this entry tomorrow as I have run loads of errands tomorrow. Plus, my mother has already assigned with all kinds of work, which I know I will doing throughout the day. Anyway, I have always loved the eve of Deepavali. As much as I always complain that Deepavali is draining and stuff, I always need the eve to feel the whole festive spirit and indulge myself in the mood.
The whole rush to clean up the house, cook and make sure that everything is in order is just nice. Not forgetting all those programmes that they will start screening from 10pm onwards just gets you into the whole spirit. You will feel so happy. That is happiness man.
My mum is very particular when it comes to practising customs and traditions. So we should not break anything and say anything inauspicious according to her standards. And yes we are one of those families that get up at 4am on Deepavali and pray. We still go through that oil bath and stuff. Honestly, though Deepavali falls during the examination period, I dont think that is gonna stop anyone of us from having a blast. I cant wait for Sunday. My hommies are coming over!
Anyway, I wont have the time to blog tomorrow looking at all those chores that I have to accomplish by tomorrow. So I shall wish all Hindus a very Happy Deepavali!
Lets forgive and forget. I know its easy to forgive but not that easy to forget. Oh wells, lets just use Deepavali as a day to put aside the past and start on a new chapter in our life. As a person who appreciates and loves history, I will never hesitate to tell you that the past is only relevant if you learn something from it and use it to your present life.
Most importantly, lets be happy ya! Happiness is totally determined by us. Lets choose to be happy.
To my hommies,
Happy Deepavali!
May that light come into your life and cover all those patches of darkness that have been lingering in your life so far!
Yenjoy the day I say!
Cheers!
